health centers where there are experts and specialists who can counsel
patients and families, conduct research and clinical trials about rare and unusal
disorders of pregnancy and childhood as well as provide pre-pregnancy counseling, prenatal
care and children's health care. For those who need specialized consultations, these
centers are on the "cutting edge" in the fields of women's health,
obstetrics, fetal medicine, neonatology, infertility and diseases of children. In
many areas of the country (USA) and internationally, primary care physicians may not have
all the resources available to take care of certain complicated conditions. Hygeia
will help facilitate face-to-face consultations from "experts" in their
respective fields of women's, maternal and child health. The physicians and institutions
are knowlegeable the fields of High Risk Obstetrics, Neonatology, Reproductive
Endocrinology and Diseases of Children and invloved in cutting edge research and
innovation. When possible, however, Hygeia urges you to consult with your own physician
