Compassionate Care Award Nominations
We are pleased to welcome nominations for the 2012 Compassionate Care Award until May 15, 2012. This award recognizes and promotes excellence in the care of families that have lost a pregnancy or infant. All health care providers in the state of Connecticut are eligible to be nominated by any member of the Hygeia community.
To nominate someone, please submit the person’s name and place of work, as well as your response to the following: “Please tell us how this nominee has provided excellent care to a family that has lost a pregnancy or infant.” Please send your nomination to info@hygeiafoundation.org, or submit it via our contact form, by May 15, 2012.
2012 Footprints on Our Hearts Walk to Remember
Save the date! The Hygeia Foundation’s second annual Footprints on Our Hearts Walk to Remember will take place on Sunday, October 14, 2012, at 1:00 p.m. at East Shore Park in New Haven, Connecticut. Registration will open in June 2012.

2011 Footprints on Our Hearts Walk to Remember
The Hygeia Foundation’s first annual Footprints on Our Hearts Walk to Remember on Sunday, October 2, 2011, was profoundly moving. Over 350 walkers came together in East Shore Park in New Haven, Connecticut, to talk, to hug, to cry, and to remember and honor babies who have gone too soon.
Many of our walkers collected pledges to support the Hygeia Foundation’s programs and the families who need them. Together, we exceeded our goal of $35,000, ensuring that we will be able to continue to help families in need throughout the coming year.
