Third Annual Footprints on Our Hearts Walk to Remember: October 6, 2013

Save the date! The Hygeia Foundation’s Third Annual Footprints on Our Hearts Walk to Remember will be held on Sunday, October 6, 2013, at 1:00 p.m. You, your family, and your friends are all invited to join us in honoring and remembering our babies.

Registration for the walk will open around July 1, 2013. Please check back here in July to learn how to register.

If you or a business you know would like to become a sponsor of our walk, you may learn more about our sponsorship opportunities here. By sponsoring our walk, you and your business will not only gain exposure to the thousands of people who will participate in our walk or pledge in support of our walkers, but you will also enable us to continue to help bereaved families throughout the coming year.

More information about our Footprints on Our Hearts Walk to Remember will be posted here over the coming months. We hope to see you, your family, and your friends on October 6th!

2013 Compassionate Care Awards Celebration

On April 5, 2013, we were proud to honor two incredible caregivers as our 2013 Compassionate Care Award winners: Christine Fontana of Yale-New Haven Hospital’s Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and Ellen Tilton of Yale Maternal-Fetal Medicine. Our Compassionate Care Award recognizes and promotes excellence in the care of families that have lost a pregnancy or infant.

Over 80 people joined us at the Orange Hills Country Club to honor Christine and Ellen. During the award ceremony, families who have been helped by Christine and Ellen shared stories of the dedicated, exemplary care they received – and continue to receive – from these wonderful nurses. All in attendance were greatly moved.

We look forward to seeing you at next year’s Compassionate Care Awards Celebration!

2012 Footprints on Our Hearts Walk to Remember

We were proud to host our Second Annual Footprints on Our Hearts Walk to Remember on October 14, 2012. Over 425 people gathered on a windy day at East Shore Park in New Haven, Connecticut, to remember our babies.

We are grateful to the many walkers who helped us raise nearly $38,000 in support of our programs. With such generous support, we will be able to help many more grieving families.
